Use of Face Data and TrueDepth API (iOS Only)

Certain features in the Shazzy mobile app use Apple’s TrueDepth API (via ARKit) through Smile ID’s identity verification service during selfie verification and liveness detection. When accessing features that require liveness or facial validation, the system may collect:

Biometric information (facial geometry)

A photo of your face (selfie)

How This Data Is Used

To confirm that the selfie is taken by a live, real user

To prevent spoofing and fraudulent identity attempts

To strengthen authentication and identity verification

This data is not used for analytics, advertising, marketing, or any unrelated purposes.

Storage and Processing

Face data may be securely transmitted to and stored on Smile ID’s servers for verification purposes

The data is not shared with third parties, except as required by law

Face data is retained only as long as necessary for verification, following Smile ID’s retention policies

Shazzy does not sell, share, or disclose any face-related data outside of Smile ID’s secure verification workflow.
