Limitations of Liability

By downloading or using the Shazzy app, you automatically agree to these terms. Please read them carefully before using the app. You are not permitted to copy, modify, extract source code, translate, or create derivative versions of the app. All database rights and intellectual property rights related to the app belong to Shazzy. We strive to make the app as useful and efficient as possible and reserve the right to make changes or charge for its services at any time, with clear communication about such changes. We will never charge for the app or its services without explicitly informing you through subscription options.

The Shazzy app stores and processes personal data to provide our services. It is your responsibility to keep your phone and access to the app secure. We recommend against jailbreaking or rooting your phone, as it can make it vulnerable to security risks and cause the app to malfunction.

Terms and Conditions

Shazzy is not responsible for certain issues beyond our control. The app requires an active internet connection, either via Wi-Fi or your mobile network provider. Shazzy is not liable if the app doesn't function fully without an internet connection or if you have no data allowance. If you use the app outside of Wi-Fi range, your mobile provider’s terms still apply, and you may incur charges for data usage, including roaming charges. Ensure you have permission from the bill payer to use the app if you are not the bill payer.

Shazzy is also not responsible if your device runs out of battery, preventing you from using the service. While we strive to keep the app updated and accurate, we rely on third-party information and cannot accept liability for any loss resulting from reliance on the app’s functionality.

Arbitration

Any dispute arising from this agreement or the services will be settled by binding arbitration according to the Nigerian Arbitration Commission's rules for consumer-related disputes (accessible at https://www.nicarb.org). Consumer claimants can choose to pursue claims in their local small-claims court instead of arbitration, provided the matter remains individual and non-representative.

Class Action Waiver

Claims must be brought individually, not as part of a class, collective action, or representative proceeding. The arbitrator cannot consolidate multiple claims or engage in class arbitration. By agreeing to these terms, you waive your right to a jury trial and to participate in a class action against Shazzy.

Changes to these Terms and Conditions

We may update our terms and conditions periodically. It is your responsibility to review them regularly.

We will notify you of any changes by posting them on this page. These terms and conditions are effective as of May 20th, 2024.
